Concept
REFRIGERATOR BIOLOGY/ANTHROPOLOGY/ARCHEOLOGY-----Tupperware party for microbes, Anarchic Meeting of Bacteria, Host/parasite relationships, Occupation, Hostile Leftovers, Organic Decomposition & Recomposition.------- I propose that before the exhibition I prepare a variety of "dishes" in an improvised kitchen in the container, which are then left as hosts for a rich and colorful variety of molds, fungi, bacteria, algae, viruses, and microbes to grow during the duration of the exhibition-- basically have a Tupperware Party in which they may freely occupy the space, communicate and exchange genetic information for their own evolution and defense.----- The fungi-meeting would be mediated by way of macro-video cameras, time-lapse cameras, and possibly video-microscope, in order to observe the progress of their growth and inter-action.------ Douglas Parsons---- douglasdoregon@hotmail.com---- Lausanne, avril 2001
